Clos Fourtet 2015

Harvesting dates were from 18 September to 12 October 2015. This year, blend is composed with 88% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc. 2015 Clos Fourtet displays a dark, deep purple and garnet colour. Powerful on the nose revealing black and red berry notes subtly mingling with light tobacco and peppermint. Fleshy on the palate with a round, unctuous attack. Then a dense structure coated with ripe tannins that bring lightness and length. The whole palate is harmonious and it finishes with rich flavours such as vanilla, cherries, raspberries, liquorice and spices coming through. This is a Saint-Emilion wine that expresses clearly the identity of the property and its limestone plateau soils.
